South Coast Boardriders recently held their 3rd competion of the 07/08 season at Sandy Pt .The event was sponsored by a great supporter of the club Cactus Black Surf Skate and Snow , who supplied fantastic prizes for compettitors over all the age groups.The weather on the day was not kind to us with a strong onshore wind and 2ft swell but 30 surfers still turned up and were able to get some waves during the day. The highlight of the day probably being the standard of surfing in the mens final , with some excellent waves ridden by everyone and only a couple of points seperating 1st to 6th after 25 minutes. Good to see 9 competitors out there in the over 40,s having a go with a couple of not so good headstands being attempted as well as a few other moves rarely seen on a surfboard , all had some fun. Presentations were held at the Sandy Pt hall at the end of the day and all enjoyed the BBQ food which was supplied by Foster IGA, and the many prizes handed out. On the 2nd of February a group of up and coming wake boarders travelled to Windsor, New South Wales, for their first ever novice wakeboard competition. The comp was round 5 of the Victorian Wakeboarding 2007-2008 season combined with a round of the NSW Wakeboarding Associations 2007-2008comp – State of Origin.

 The Cactus Crew are making room for all our new winter stock. So, to make room, the Pakenham Store is currently having an end of summer super sale.  With the spacious downstairs section being totally transformed for 4 days only.  Everything is reduced, tees, boardies, bathers, thongs and more shoes than you can shake a stick at.  Keep an eye out for the Fancy Black Plastic sale signs…….Nice work Mushie, pretty handy with the spray cans fella!!!!!!!!!
