Cactus Black is regional Victoria’s premier Surf/Skate/Snow retailer with 5 exciting stores located at Pakenham, Warragul, Bairnsdale,Wonthaggi and our newest store at Mt Baw Baw.

How did it all come about I hear you say - well in 2004, three shop owners decided to band together (over a few cold ones) and take on the surf industry as one. So in Febuary or was it March 2004, Gavin and Tony closed our Pakenham and Warragul stores, got out the paint and overalls and re-invented ourselves as Cactus Black. Before long big Jim from Bairnsdale went through a similar process.

In 2005 along came Frank aka Hanga, and it was Morwells turn to get all Cactus Up. Soon after Joel openned up Dandenong , and last year (2007) we spread our wings to the seaside village of Wonthaggi.

Here are the cactus boys hard at work (are they lemon lime and bitters on the table) at one of our regular managers meetings.

In 2006 Cactus Black worked with the snowboard industry to develop the Cactus Black Rail Park at Mt Baw Baw. When the park was opened at the start of the 2007 season it was to wide praise and support. We have already pledged bigger and better things for 2008. Keep an eye out in our SNOW page for regular updates of the Cactus Rail Park.
